Unicafes Bahia was created in November 2006, based on the representative needs of cooperative groups and/or Solidarity Economy Enterprises, seeking to translate and defend their identity importance not only in the state of Bahia, but above all, at the national level.

Mission

To transform cooperativism into a popular instrument for sustainable and solidarity-based local development, enabling farmers to produce for the market through economic and social initiatives that expand job opportunities, income distribution, food production, and improve quality of life.

Scope

Currently, 83 cooperatives are affiliated, from the production and marketing sectors, some specifically for women, youth, labor, credit, and housing, and are present in 18 identity territories of the state of Bahia.

Services

Management consulting;
Logistical support for products to access institutional and conventional markets;
Organization and support for regional and state fairs;
Organization and coordination of territorial networks of enterprises, in the productive organization of women and young people, in the holding of conferences, seminars, courses, workshops, territorial and state meetings;
Training for managers and employees in the maintenance of social technologies, computerization of cooperatives, and distribution of equipment to women's groups.
