Unicafes Mato Grosso, established on December 9, 2011, in the city of Várzea Grande (MT), is a private legal entity, organized as an Association, for non-economic purposes, with an indefinite duration as defined in its Articles of Association, with the objective of state representation and development of actions to support cooperatives. Its guiding principles are people-centered organization, democratic participation, solidarity, ethics, social control, autonomy, plurality, new gender, generational and ethnic relations, decentralization of structures, network integration, proximity economy, transparency, inter-cooperation, and respect for the environment.

Mission

To make cooperativism a popular instrument for sustainable and solidarity-based local development, articulating economic initiatives that expand opportunities for work, income, food production, improvements in quality of life, maintenance of biodiversity, and reduction of inequalities.

Scope

It currently represents 7 cooperatives from 6 cities:

Coperrede in Lucas do Rio Verde;
Coopergrande and Coorimbatá in Várzea Grande;
Cooperssol in Cáceres;
Coopertan in Tangará da Serra;
Coopsob in Itiquira;
Coopernossasenhora in Nossa Senhora do Livramento.
