Unicafes Minas Gerais was founded in 2011 by 11 cooperatives at that time. Today, 33 production cooperatives and 1 credit cooperative are part of this system at the state level. For 12 years, they have represented cooperativism and family farming in the state, focusing on income generation and improving the lives of farmers. They seek to disseminate these concepts, market the products of their members, and strengthen cooperativism.

To promote socio-economic conditions favorable to solidarity-based cooperatives in family farming, as an instrument for sustainable local development, through the promotion, integration, and representation of cooperatives and associated organizations in the State of Minas Gerais.

Partnerships
Unicafes-MG develops actions to strengthen cooperatives and family farmers through partnerships with various actors, including public authorities at all levels (municipal, state and federal), public and private institutions, civil society organizations, and educational and financial institutions.

Scope
Unicafes-MG currently has 34 cooperatives in almost all regions of the state of Minas Gerais, with a presence in Northwest Minas Gerais; Triângulo Mineiro; Central Metropolitan Region; South Minas Gerais; North Minas Gerais; Jequitinhonha Valley; Mucuri Valley; Rio Doce Valley and Zona da Mata.
