The Unicafes Pernambuco Federation was founded on February 10, 2021, from the union of cooperatives that advocate for the development of family farming and the solidarity economy with inclusion and social participation.

Mission
To promote the economic and social development of family farming and the solidarity economy, strengthening cooperatives, connecting different sectors, and representing this organizational model.

Vision
To utilize Family Farming Cooperatives and the Solidarity Economy as a tool for local and regional development based on diversified and sustainable principles.

Objectives
- To strengthen, through unity and organization, the cooperatives of family farmers in the state of Pernambuco;
- To promote grassroots solidarity-based cooperativism;
- To promote cooperative education, training and information;
- To encourage and promote organization and self-management;
- To improve the marketing of products originating from family farming and solidarity-based agriculture;
- To market the products of the individual companies in the private and institutional markets;
- To promote cooperation among the various branches of the cooperative movement.

Representation
The Unicafes Federation of Pernambuco (Unicafes PE) carries out ongoing representation and marketing activities with public and private institutions, and federal, state, and municipal executive and legislative bodies, proposing partnerships, presenting draft laws, developing and executing investment projects, and building strategies and programs to promote and strengthen its affiliates. Unicafes acts as a representative and marketing entity for its affiliates. In this way, Unicafes maintains a support base in the areas of Organizational Management; Accounting/Tax Management; Commercial/Business Management; Project Development/Management; Legal Advice; Communication/Advertising/Marketing; Productive Organization; among others.

Partnerships
Unicafes develops actions to strengthen cooperatives through partnerships with various actors: Federal Government (Ministries), State Government, Municipal Government (Secretariats), Public and Private Institutions, as well as Civil Society Organizations.

Scope
Currently, the Unicafes PE Federation has around 12 cooperatives in the state of Pernambuco, organized into 4 Regional areas: Sertão, Zona da Mata, Agreste, and Metropolitan Region. The affiliated cooperatives operate in various sectors.
